Accommodations
Because of limited room availability, the Pittsburgh Diffraction Conference has three official conference hotels.
The Stanford Guest House is the closest hotel located on the SLAC campus. The other two hotels, the Sheraton Palo Alto and Cardinal Inn are closer to Palo Alto restaurants and shopping.
The Stanford free shuttle, the Marguerite, has stops within walking distance of all three hotels.
1) Stanford Guest House: A block of rooms has been reserved at Stanford Guest House at a discounted rate of $102/night. When making reservations use group code ‘PDS 2012’ for the special room rate and reserve your room before 8/31/2012.

2) The Sheraton Palo Alto: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Sheraton Palo Alto for a discounted rate of $229/night. Reserve before 8/14/2012 for the discounted rate. The Sheraton Palo Alto is located at 625 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, California 94301.
When making a reservation at the Sheraton use group code 'PDS 2012' and phone 1-800-325-3535 or email. Send email to SheratonReservations@pahotel.com and include the following: Guest Name, Arrival/Departure Date, Address, Phone number & Group Code: PDS 2012. To guarantee a reservation, one must give a credit card number and expiration date.
3) The Cardinal Hotel: The Cardinal Hotel is a completely non-smoking boutique hotel located in downtown Palo Alto.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Cardinal hotel for the discounted rate of $149/night for a private bath room or $79/night for a shared bath style room.
